Creating Save the Date Cards that Set the Stage!

What should happen soon after the wedding proposal has been made and accepted?

Three things should be selected quickly: the date, the venue, the officiant who will marry you.

Those are followed quickly by confirming the availability of your chosen wedding party and must-attend family.  And then….DRUMROLL….it’s time for the Save the Date card to be designed!

“Save the Date” is a fairly recent trend that is courteous because it gives people a heads up so they won’t arrange trips or vacations that conflict with the wedding date. It’s also become the way to generate excitement about the wedding. Creating or choosing a Save the Date card design which may include a photo, is the first step in the creative process of planning a wedding.

Photos of the betrothed couple make the cards especially meaningful because people LOVE photos of their friends and family.  You can use an existing photo, or have one taken especially for the Save the Date card. At Daniel Photo Pro, we offer free engagement photo sessions which provide the perfect photo for a Save the Date card. We can edit the photo to have the right image requirements for the card you’ve chosen.  Black and white, tinted photos, sepia and other creative enhancements can make your Save the Date card one which tells the invited guests that this is going to be one special wedding!

Below are some variations of a Save the Date photo taken from engagement sessions. The fun has begun, let your creative juices flow!
