Weddings in the New Normal...at Home!

Life moves on, and most of us are beginning to adapt to the new normal, which includes the realization that big events probably won’t return for a while. If you’ve had your heart set on a wedding, what do you do?  You simply have to incorporate safety into the planning and focus on family and close friends even more. In the long run, these changes may make weddings more meaningful in terms of the heart.

By having a wedding in a home, whether it’s the one that either the bride or groom grew up in, or a family member or friend’s home, you’ll add a new dimension to the event that can be captured wonderfully in the photography. Years from now, looking back at the photos, you’ll see they’re even more special in that sort of location, rather than in a commercial place you would have rented. “Home is where the heart is,” as the old saying goes.

Here are some ideas from a recent home wedding session that Daniel Photo Pro did. In a home atmosphere, both indoors and out, there are lots of little things that can be photographed artistically. Photography is the only thing from a wedding that truly lasts.  The cake and decorations don’t last. The wedding dresses packed away may last, but they aren’t brought out often.  Great photos are there for the re-living of a life-changing experience. So let’s live the new normal as best we can!
