Fellows Garden is Ideal for Engagement & Wedding Photos
At Daniel Photo Pro, we encourage couples to consider natural settings for engagement and wedding photography. Why? It's because everyone looks happier and healthier outdoors! Plus in these covid times, it's safer. Our recent wedding photoshoot at Fellows Riverside Gardens revealed a lovely place for a wedding year-round. It's not too late for a fall photo session there. Fellows is a free public garden located at the northern end of Mill Creek Park, nine miles from the Ohio Turnpike which makes it easy for guests to find. From a photographic standpoint - it's simply beautiful!
Fellows has curated garden areas with easy walkways and paths for women in high heels and long dresses, and guests who need them. It also has natural woodsy areas with lovely old shade trees. This variety gives the wedding couple choices for settings that blend with their personal style, especially in the photos of just the two of them.

Whoever decided that June is the perfect month for weddings must not have been a Lover of Autumn. Nature is so wonderfully generous with color, texture, depth, and just plain beauty in the fall. It’s the traditional time of harvest, the time when the light changes throughout the day, when leaves become most breathtaking. Everyone in the wedding photos will have the advantage of natural fall lighting, that golden glow that makes people look healthy. A fall or even an early winter wedding outdoors can be more beautiful and less expensive by inviting nature into the planning. In the fall, you can let the colors of your wedding décor or theme come from nature, and stay neutral with wedding attire.
If you want to be married this fall, take a drive through the country (Amish country is especially lovely this time of year in Ohio) and be inspired by nature. Wall décor is one of the hot trends of 2020 in the wedding world. It simply requires choosing a few photos to place together artfully on your wall. It’s often a good idea to choose groups in odd numbers, three, five or seven, just like you do when creating settings of plants. The theme of the wall décor can be many different things; they just have to show some coherence so they convey harmony to the viewer. As you look through all of your photos, see if a theme emerges of a few photos that might work together. It can be just the groom, or just the bride, or the wedding dress, or family members laughing, children, or looks of love. The more important allowing, however, is for your natural happiness to bubble up from within you where it hides. It takes more energy to allow happiness than it does to wallow in disappointment. Allowing happiness happens when you accept what you can’t do about your plans and start looking at what’s possible. Think outside your pre-pandemic brain for new ways to approach manifesting your dream engagement, wedding, or honeymoon!
First of all, try to be open to the idea that in the end, different may turn out to be better. Since the pandemic, thousands of couples around the country have still gotten married.
